A Little More to Know
-
We typically dye 5 to 20 skeins at a time, depending on the colorway and yarn base. Working in smaller batches lets us keep a close eye on the dye process and gives us more control over the finished colorway.
Because every skein is dyed by hand, no two will be exactly alike, even within the same batch. We do our best to keep each batch consistent with the colorway photographed while still expecting the natural variation that comes with hand-dyed yarn.
To keep your yarn looking its best, we recommend hand washing in cool water and laying flat to dry, unless the label says otherwise. Deeply saturated colors may release a small amount of color during the first wash, so washing separately is a good precaution. -
We do our best to photograph our yarn as accurately as possible and keep each batch true to the colorway shown. Because every skein is dyed by hand, color placement and intensity will naturally vary a little from skein to skein. Screens can also display colors differently. Those small variations are normal with hand-dyed yarn and mean every skein is a little bit unique.
For projects using more than one skein, we recommend alternating skeins every few rows. This helps blend the natural variations between hand-dyed yarn throughout your project. We also recommend purchasing enough yarn for your entire project at once, as future batches may vary slightly. -
We care about the fibers we work with and how they’re sourced. We purchase our yarn from suppliers committed to responsible and ethical sourcing practices, and all of our wool yarns are certified mulesing-free.
Thoughtful sourcing is important to us and something we’ll continue to prioritize as EverSeason grows. -
Our yarn is dyed and stored in a dedicated, pet-free studio within a pet-friendly home.
We also use lavender, cedar, and a variety of essential oils in and around our studio as part of our fiber-storage and moth-prevention practices. We want customers with pet, fragrance, or botanical sensitivities to have that information before ordering.
If you have a particular sensitivity or concern, feel free to reach out before purchasing. -
Ready-to-ship yarn is processed within 1 to 2 business days. Made-to-order yarn is processed within 3 to 5 business days. If a listing has a different processing time, we’ll make sure it’s noted there.
We’re not accepting custom colorway requests during our initial launch. For now, we’re focusing on our current collections and getting into a good studio rhythm. We may offer custom options in the future. -
Yarn is currently shipped in its original skein. As a new studio, we’re keeping our production process simple while we get established, so we don’t offer winding into cakes just yet.
Keeping yarn in a skein also helps it maintain its shape during storage and shipping, and we think it looks pretty nice that way too. We hope to offer winding as an optional service in the future. -
Returns and exchanges are accepted within 14 days of delivery. Yarn must be unused and in its original condition, with the label attached. Yarn that has been wound into a cake, used, washed, altered, or exposed to smoke, strong household odors, or pet odors cannot be returned or exchanged.
Buyers are responsible for return shipping costs, and original shipping charges are nonrefundable. Natural variations in hand-dyed yarn are expected and are not considered defects. Custom orders and sale or clearance items are final sale.
If your yarn arrives damaged, has a defect, or we’ve sent the wrong item, please message us and include a photo if possible so we can see what happened and help make it right. -
Yes. Orders may be cancelled within 24 hours of purchase.
After that time, we may have already begun preparing or dyeing your order and cannot guarantee that a cancellation will be possible. If you need to cancel, please send message us as soon as you can. -
Each skein is dyed by hand in small batches, so you can expect some natural variation in color and placement from skein to skein. If you're using more than one skein in a project, we recommend alternating them for the most even blend.
We do our best to photograph our yarn as true to life as possible, but colors can look a little different from screen to screen. For another look at the color in neutral lighting, check out the final photo in the listing, taken in our true-color light box.
